What Is The Purpose of the Forrest Hills Elementary Community Coalition?

Connect the families in the community with pre-school aged kids

Support and connect with current students, parents and teachers

Help parents make an educated decision

Increase Student Enrollment

To encourage community involvement

Keep people from moving away or going to private schools due to perceived low quality of education
- To support our school and improve the quality of education which strengthens the neighborhood and increases property values

What Improvements Can We (The Community) Make?

Achieve more effective parental and community involvement

Recruit and reorganize PTA

Reach out to families/neighborhood associations in our district

Form groups of families of like-aged children who will be in classes together (potlucks?)

Increase diversity in the student body

Continue the upward trend in test scores

Open the lines of communication between school and community
