Forrest Hills Elementary Community Coalition (FHECC)

A group of parents and other residents came together in January 2004 with the purpose of supporting our local elementary school. Our group hopes to encourage all residents to embrace our community's school, to support current students, staff and teachers, to increase enrollment, to combat the negative perception of the school and to spread the word about the school's dramatic improvement in test scores. FHECC hopes to reach out to all families in the school district, especially families with preschool-aged children, in order to offer support and involvement.

In October 2005, the Forrest Hills Elementary Community Coalition became a Partner in Education in order to officially join other organizations around DeKalb County who support local schools through monetary donations, teacher appreciation, special programs, grounds beautification, tutoring, volunteers, etc.  As of January 2006, FHECC is a Georgia 501(c) 3 community organization non-profit.
